Our main interest is to determine whether the English cartography resulting from this pirate expedition is a transmission of pirate expertise or an appropriation of Hispanic knowledge.Este artículo se centrará en la cartografía resultante de las correrías del bucanero inglés Bartholomew Sharp y sus huestes piratas en el Pacífico americano entre 1680 y 1681. En particular, se examinará algunos de los atlas producidos por William Hack sobre la base del derrotero español del Mar del Sur que Sharp capturó en las costas de Ecuador, así como la copia que del mismo derrotero hizo el pirata inglés Basil Ringrose.
