Asimismo, examina la relación entre ficción e historia y el sentido de traer al presente un hecho del pasado a través del teatro. O autor e director de Una hazaña nacional reflete sobre a experiència de trazer ao palco uma figura histórica do século xviii, o uso de fontes primárias e secundárias, os critérios de seleção e ordenação que utilizou, bem com as estéticas teatrais que inspiraram a partir do material documental.
