Se incluyeron también artículos publicados en revistas especializadas de enfermería, por ejemplo: Critical Care, Medicina Intensiva, Revista da Escola de Enfermagem da USP, Revista Brasileira de Enfermagem, Investigación y Educación en Enfermería, Cuidados Humanizados, EC Nursing and Healthcare, Revista Médica Clínica Las Condes, Rev baiana enferm, Nursing in Critical Care, Critical Care Nursing Clinics of North America, The Patient - Patient-Centered Outcomes Research, CHEST, Enfermería Global, Avances en Enfermería, Persona y Bioética, Journal canadien d'anesthésie, y Hospice & Palliative Medicine International Journal, obteniéndose 20 artículos. Resultados: se obtuvo que, existen problemas evidentes para realizar un adecuado cuidado humanizado, de parte de la enfermera, tales como la falta de preparación, de habilidades comunicativas y emocionales, los equipos adecuados y las buenas prácticas. Conclusiones: el personal de enfermería está solo enfocado en la parte biomédica, enfatizando en lo técnico y dejando de lado la parte sensible del paciente en la unidad de cuidados intensivos.
