Sumario: This article reviewed the concentration of toothpastes in pediatric toothpastes and the difference in the labeling found in the fluoride integration of these toothpastes. The objective was to review the evidence on the concentrations required in toothpastes used in children. A search was conducted in Medline/PubMed, SciELO, Hinari, Proquest, LILACS, Google Scholar, Ebsco and Science Direct databases, limited from 2000 – 2021. 437 articles were found, of which 35 were selected that showed that there is a difference between the dentifrices marketed in Peru and the concentrations labeled on the label. It was concluded that only 2 of the 8 brands of children’s toothpastes most marketed in Peru comply with the measure of the MINSA technical standard (2017), which states that anticariogenic effectiveness in fluoride toothpastes occurs at concentrations greater than 1000 ppm of fluoride, 5/8 brands had concentrations (ppm) lower than the range shown on the labels, being the Dentito brand the one with more variations, since the labeled value was 550 ppm, however at the time of measuring the concentration it was found only 29,9 ppm and a variation of -520.1 ppm.
