Data obtained through the survey called “Anxiety to dental treatment”. The same registered in the Excel. The analysis of the information was carried out through the Chi-square stadistical test. Results: The frequency of axienty to dental treatment in the adult population of Cantón Saraguro was 78.16%. Conclusions: It was determined that the prevalence of axienty to dental treatment is relatively high, so this instrument should be implemented in the dental office to identify the degree of anxiety of the patient in different situations. Objetivos: Determinar la frecuencia de ansiedad al tratamiento dental en la población adulta del Cantón Saraguro, Ecuador. Materiales y métodos: El estudio fue de tipo descriptivo y transversal. La muestra consistió de un total de 403 unidades de población adulta del Cantón Saraguro. Los datos fueron obtenidos a través de la encuesta denominada “Ansiedad al tratamiento dental”, los mismos que fueron registrados en una base de datos Excel. El análisis de la información se realizó mediante la prueba estadística Chi-cuadrado. Resultados: La frecuencia de ansiedad al tratamiento dental en la población adulta del Cantón Saraguro fue de 78,16%. Conclusiones: Se determinó que la prevalencia de ansiedad al tratamiento dental es relativamente alta, por lo cual se debería implementar en la consulta dental este instrumento para identificar el grado de ansiedad del paciente en diferentes situaciones.
