The search was carried out in different databases such as Dialnet, Scielo, Redalyc, Latindex, Doaj, Redib, Miar, Open Access Academy, Crossref and Creative Commons. To achieve the study objective, 20 qualitative, quantitative and mixed Spanish research papers were selected after a process of elimination and filtering, the information was processed and systematized using the descriptive analytical method. The results reflect that the strengthening of cultural identity is a fundamental element in the development of the country and it is formed from childhood in the relationship of the family, the educational institution and the community. Itis concluded that the Peruvian educational system does not comply with the strengthening of cultural identity due to the centralist curriculum, noncontextualized planning in line with reality and the presence of teachers with a weak cultural identity, particularly in the high Andean areas. Keywords: Interculturality; plurality; culture; art.Considerando que la identidad cultural es la base para conocer los orígenes de la comunidad y afrontar el futuro con carácter y convicción, se ha elaborado un artículo con el objetivo de realizar una revisión sistemática de la literatura científica sobre el fortalecimiento de la identidad cultural de los estudiantes de Educación Básica Regular. La investigación es un artículo de revisión descriptivo. La búsqueda se realizó en las bases de datos de Dialnet, Scielo, Redalyc, Latindex, Doaj, Redib, Miar, Open Access Academy, Crossref y Creative Commons. Para lograr el objetivo de estudio, en los procesos de descarte y filtración se seleccionaron 20 trabajos de investigación en español de carácter cualitativo, cuantitativo y mixto, la información fue procesada y sistematizada con el método analítico descriptivo. Los resultados reflejan que el fortalecimiento de la identidad cultural es un elemento fundamental en el desarrollo del país y se forma desde la niñez en la relación de la familia, la institución educativa y la comunidad. Se concluye que el sistema educativo peruano no cumple con el fortalecimiento de la identidad cultural debido al currículo centralista, la planificación no contextualizada a la realidad y la presencia de docentes con una identidad cultural débil, particularmente en las zonas alto andinas.
