It also seeks to argue about the importance of the field to which they belong: naturopathy.Este artículo toma como punto de referencia a la tradición peruana «¡A nadar, peces!», escrita por Ricardo Palma. En este trabajo se desarrollará un análisis sobre las plantas y los productos naturales con propiedades medicinales de origen europeo o asiático que son nombrados en el texto antes mencionado. Se tiene como fin definir la llegada de estos elementos al territorio nacional durante el Virreinato, las características y los diferentes usos que hacen que se califiquen como remedios naturales.
