In Peru, female curanderism has represented a health response option in the absence or lack of conventional medical services. This study has been carried out based on the life history of nine healers from different areas of Peru, considering female participation, inclusion and the gender gap in Peruvian curanderism and The analysis presents information that covers the issue of gender, such as the acceptance and healing obtaining of female prestige within curanderism and the inclusion of technological strategies in the curanderism practice.La participación femenina en el campo del curanderismo ha sido un espacio que trasciende a la sola realidad contemporánea de esta tradición. A lo largo de los años el curanderismo ha recibido numerosas influencias religiosas, culturales y prácticas desde diversas regiones del mundo. En el Perú, el curanderismo femenino ha representado una opción de respuesta sanitaria ante la carencia o ausencia de servicios médicos convencionales y/o oficiales. El presente trabajo ha sido realizado en base a las historias de vida de nueve (9) curanderas de diferentes áreas del Perú, considerando la participación femenina, la inclusión y la brecha de género en el curanderismo peruano.
