This support is based on displays of affection, empathy, active listening, acceptance, etc.» (para. 6). In the same way, I will deal with the emotional dependence that Palma shows us in this story, as he tells us of the sadness in which Margarita is immersed due to the fact that her father will not let her marry the man she loves. Two themes of great importance that continue to be reflected from those times to the current day.En este artículo abordaré la relevancia del soporte emocional en la tradición «La camisa de Margarita» de Ricardo Palma. Para ello comenzaré definiendo qué se entiende por soporte emocional. Según Blasco (s. f.) «el apoyo emocional […] nos permite reconocer nuestras emociones ante los demás. Este apoyo se basa en las muestras de afecto, la empatía, la escucha activa, la aceptación, etc.» (párr. 6). Del mismo modo, abordaré la dependencia emocional que Palma nos muestra en esta tradición, pues nos relata la tristeza en la que Margarita está inmersa por el hecho de que su padre no la deja casarse con el hombre que quiere.
