The main objective of this research is to propose a professional improvement strategy to contribute to the development of skills in the elaboration and subsequent publication of scientifi c articles in high-impact indexed journals. For the development of the research, methods of information gathering and processing were used, to use them in a multilateral way in the study of the object; within the latter, observation and interview stood out. Th e sample consisted of 12 professors intentionally selected from diff erent departments of the Pedagogical Sciences on the “Felix Varela Morales” campus of the “Marta Abreu” Central University of Las Villas. Th e results confi rmed the defi ciencies that some professors have in the elaboration and subsequent accreditation of scientifi c articles in indexed journals. Th ese results served as the basis to design and propose this strategy, which was submitted to criteria by experts who valued it as pertinent. Once the proposal was implemented, the 12 professors, as authors and co-authors, managed to accredit at least one scientific article in a high-impact indexed journal. These results show the relevance of the Professional Development Strategy developed.

These results show the relevance of the Professional Development Strategy developed.La investigación como un proceso de confirmación o refutación de los supuestos, teorías, fenómenos, y otros, es importante porque posibilita ubicar a un área del conocimiento a la vanguardia, demostrando lo que tiene utilidad y lo que no. El objetivo principal de esta investigación es proponer a una estrategia de superación profesional para contribuir al desarrollo de habilidades en la elaboración y la posterior publicación de artículos científicos en revistas indexadas de alto impacto. Para el desarrollo de la investigación, se emplearon métodos de recopilación y procesamiento de la información, para utilizarlos de modo multilateral en el estudio del objeto, dentro de este último se destaca la observación y la entrevista. La muestra seleccionada estuvo integrada por 12 profesores, seleccionados intencionalmente, de diferentes departamentos de la Facultad de Ciencias Pedagógicas del campus “Félix Varela Morales”, de la Universidad Central “Marta Abreu” de Las Villas. Los resultados obtenidos con la aplicación de los métodos constataron las carencias que poseen, algunos profesores de dichos departamentos, en la elaboración y posterior acreditación de artículos científicos en revistas indexadas. Tales resultados sirvieron de base para diseñar y proponer dicha estrategia, la cual fue sometida a criterios de expertos que la valoraron de pertinente. Una vez implementada la propuesta los 12 profesores, como autores y coautores, consiguieron acreditar al menos un artículo científico en revista indexada de alto impacto.
