Las bases de esta idea de total importancia son dos: "El principio de protección individual" o de "autodefensa y el principio de mantenimiento del orden jurídico." Haciendo referencia con el primero a la defensa de los propios bienes jurídicos, cabe mencionar además que en este caso la relación entre el bien jurídico protegido y el lesionado es de nula importancia, ya que solo importa la agresión antijurídica.
