This article seeks to justify the use of historical memory in the classrooms and the society, for all Peruvians do not forget the historical process marked an entire generation of Peruvians.La memoria histórica es una nueva corriente historiográfica, que busca sobre todo justicia y verdad. En el caso peruano, con lo ocurrido durante los años de la violencia (1980-2000) es muy necesario trabajos que se orienten hacia este tipo de historiografía. También es importante que la memoria histórica llegue a toda la sociedad peruana, solo así podrán curarse las heridas que dejó el proceso de paz peruano.
