Vallejo’s lyrical voice is presented as an equalizing force that does not pretend to exempt itself, according to Christian theology, from the suffering that is guaranteed by the natural order.César Vallejo le otorga al poema «Los heraldos negros» el sentido de epígrafe del libro homónimo con el fin de encapsular el tono dominante de una voz lírica sometida, principalmente, por la insuficiencia del lenguaje en ese poemario iniciático e inicial.
