It was found that 94% of teachers perceive the management leadership that characterizes the executives as regular, and the most distinguished dimension is to “Maintain order and rationality” therefore focusing on improving “the human and participative relationships” and 88% of teachers consider their teaching performance as high level, and the most distinguished dimension is the “Pedagogical skills” therefore focusing on improving the “Result of their pedagogical work”. It may be concluded that it does exist direct and moderate relationship between the executive leadership and the teaching performance, because it was obtained a value of Rho = 0,476 and a value of p= 0,000.La investigación tiene como objetivo principal el determinar la relación entre el liderazgo directivo y el desempeño docente en el Centro de Idiomas de la Universidad Nacional Jorge Basadre Grohmann - Tacna, 2019; donde el tipo investigativo es el puro o básico, el nivel es correlacional, el diseño usado es el no experimental, la muestra es de 50 docentes, donde la técnica de campo es la encuesta, el instrumento es el cuestionario, y el enfoque cuantitativo. Se encontró que el 94% de los docentes perciben de nivel regular el liderazgo gerencial que caracteriza a los directivos, siendo la dimensión más destacada el “Mantener el orden y la racionalidad” y la focalizada a mejorar las “Relaciones humanas y participativas”; y el 88% de docentes consideran de nivel elevado su desempeño docente, siendo la dimensión más destacada las “Capacidades pedagógicas”, y la focalizada a mejorar el “Resultado de su labor pedagógica”.
