From this, the teachers of public and private institutions used different strategies for the development of their learning sessions as a means, so that different virtual environments were applied and they faced the main challenge of synchronous interactive collaborative work, through Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). In this context, an investigation was carried out that aimed to describe how virtual environments were used to carry out synchronous interactive collaborative work among regular basic education students in Tacna. Through a qualitative methodology based on interviews, the difficulty in achieving synchronous interactive collaborative work between student-student was evidenced, in contrast to teacher-student collaboration. Likewise, digital inequality was observed among the students of said institution, since the virtual environments did not reach 100% of the student population.En el año 2020, a raíz de la pandemia por COVID-19, el Ministerio de Educación (MINEDU) suspendió las labores escolares recurriendo a las clases virtuales. A partir de ello, los docentes de instituciones públicas y privadas, utilizaron como medio diferentes estrategias para el desarrollo de sus sesiones de aprendizaje, es así que se aplicaron diferentes entornos virtuales y se enfrentaron al principal reto del trabajo colaborativo interactivo sincrónico, por medio de las Tecnologías de Información y Comunicación (TIC). En ese contexto, se realizó una investigación que tuvo como objetivo describir la forma de cómo se utilizaron los entornos virtuales para realizar el trabajo colaborativo interactivo sincrónico entre los estudiantes de educación básica regular en Tacna. A través de una metodología cualitativa basada en entrevistas se evidenció la dificultad para el logro del trabajo colaborativo interactivo sincrónico entre estudiante-estudiante, en contraste con la colaboración docente-estudiante.
