The population of students from private educational institutions was 11230; from the Villa María del Triunfo district with a sample of 413 students. For informat ion collection the survey technique was used and as an instrument, the instrument of cooperative learning in educational contexts, the same ones that were applied for the collection of information and allowed to carry out the analysis. The result of the correlation between the variables cooperative learning and intercultural citizenship is the Pearson’s R 0.831, which means that it is high positive. Moreover, the p-value =0.000 is less than the level of significance (α = 0.05), therefore, it is concluded that there is a significant correlation between the variables cooperative learning and intercultural citizenship in 4° and 5° high school students from private educational institutions.La investigación tuvo como objetivo general determinar la relación que existe entre el aprendizaje cooperativo y la ciudadanía intercultural en estudiantes de 4° y 5° de nivel secundaria en las instituciones educativas privadas. Para la realización de la investigación, se desarrolló una investigación básica, de nivel relacional. La población fue de 11230 estudiantes instituciones educativas privadas; del distrito de Villa María del Triunfo con una muestra de 413 estudiantes. En el recojo de la información se utilizó la técnica de la encuesta y como instrumento el cuestionario de aprendizaje cooperativo y para la ciudadanía intercultural, los que se aplicaron por única vez para el recojo de información. El resultado de la correlación entre las variables aprendizaje cooperativo y ciudadanía intercultural es de R de Pearson 0.831, lo que indica que es positiva alta.
