The sample population was 221 from the language center of the Private University of Tacna, enrolled in the 2022-II academic year. The applied instruments were subjected to validity by expert judgment using Aiken's V and reliability through Cronbach's Alpha, obtaining adequate results (.899 and .908 respectively). The results indicate that 36.2% of the students reached the regular level in the variable learning false cognates. Regarding the variable Mastery of English language communication skills, it was revealed that 42.1% present a good level. It is concluded that the learning of false cognates is directly, positively related to the mastery of communicative skills of the English language in the students of the Language Center of the Private University of Tacna, 2022 (rs= 0.729; p= 0.000).La investigación tuvo como objetivo establecer cómo se relaciona el aprendizaje de los falsos cognados con el dominio de habilidades comunicativas del idioma inglés en los estudiantes del centro de Idiomas de la Universidad Privada de Tacna, 2022. La metodología de la presente investigación fue básica, de nivel correlacional con diseño no experimental de corte seccional. La población fue de muestra 221 del centro de idiomas de la Universidad Privada de Tacna, matriculados en el año académico 2022-II. Los instrumentos aplicados fueron sometidos a una validez por juicio de expertos haciendo uso de la V de Aiken y confiabilidad a través del Alfa de Cronbach, obteniendo resultados adecuados (.899 y .908 respectivamente). Los resultados indican que 36.2% de los estudiantes alcanzaron el nivel regularen la variable aprendizaje de falsos cognados. Sobre la variable Dominio de las habilidades comunicativas del idioma inglés, se reveló que el 42.1% presenta un nivel bueno.
