A quasi-experimental design was applied in which 18 students from the 2018-II History Seminar of the Faculty of Architecture of the National University of the Center of Peru participated as population and sample analysis units. The instrument was the meaningful verification learning questionnaire. The results show the association of the new information with that which the students possessed and started in the subject in the dimensions of declarative and procedural knowledge, internalizing the concepts of the antecedents, development and continuity of modern architecture. Demonstrating the importance of learning modern architecture because it provided new capacities to solve their academic and future project proposals.El trabajo de investigación describe la importancia del aprendizaje de la historia de la arquitectura moderna, en circunstancias que se considera superada, y se da énfasis a la arquitectura posmoderna, se soslaya su presencia y herencia a futuro. Se aplicó un diseño cuasiexperimental en la que participaron, como unidades de análisis de población y muestra, 18 estudiantes de la asignatura Seminario de Historia 2018-II de la Facultad de Arquitectura de la Universidad Nacional del Centro del Perú. El instrumento fue un cuestionario de aprendizaje de verificación significativa. Los resultados evidencian la asociación de la información nueva con la que los estudiantes poseían e iniciaron en la asignatura en las dimensiones de conocimiento declarativo y procedimental, en el que han interiorizado los conceptos de antecedentes, desarrollo y continuidad de la arquitectura moderna.
