In the study two instruments were used, in the first questionnaire of the variable I: job satisfaction, was adopted from the "Scale of Labor Satisfaction (SL-SPC)", of S. Palma, 2005, which originated a general diagnosis of the attitude toward work, detecting how pleasant or unpleasant the person considered his work. The second questionnaire of the variable II, the performance of the people, adapted from the work of Quispe E. 2015. The design that was used was the correlation. Applying the statistics, it was determined that there is a significant relationship between job satisfaction and the performance of people in the company Protege Oriente SA, with the "r" of Pearson of 0.456, considered as a weak positive correlation, and that the level of significance had a value: s = 0.000 ? 0.05, the coefficient was significant at the level of 0.000 (100% confidence that the correlation is true and 0.0% probability of error). KEYWORDS: Labor Conditions, Task Meaning, Personal Recognition.La presente investigación, es una tesis de pregrado que tuvo como objetivo el determinar la relación que existe entre las satisfacción laboral y desempeño laboral, en el personal de la empresa Protege Oriente S.A. En el estudio se emplearon dos instrumentos, en el primer cuestionario de la variable I: satisfacción laboral, fue adoptado de la “Escala de Satisfacción Laboral (SL-SPC)”, de S. Palma, 2005, que originó un diagnóstico general de la actitud hacia el trabajo, detectándose cuán agradable o desagradable consideró la persona su trabajo. El segundo cuestionario de la variable II, el desempeño de las personas, adaptados del trabajo de Quispe E. 2015. El diseño que se usó fue el correlacional. Aplicando la estadística, se determinó que existe relación significativa entre la satisfacción laboral y el desempeño de las personas en la empresa Protege Oriente S.A., con la “r” de Pearson de 0,456, considerado como Correlación positiva débil, y que el nivel de significatividad tuvo un valor: s = 0.000 ? 0.05, el coeficiente fue significativo en el nivel de 0.000 (100 % de confianza en que la correlación sea verdadera y 0.0 % de probabilidad de error).
