Subsequently, relevant actions to consider in the prevention and elimination of sexual violence are analyzed, understanding that this problem requires a multisectoral intervention, considering socio-cultural, biopsychological, and legal aspects.La violencia sexual es un alarmante problema de salud pública que afecta a la sociedad peruana. Se revisa la situación de esta problemática en cuanto a su caracterización, incidencia en el país, y condiciones en las que se desarrolla esta problemática. Luego se revisa el impacto de esta problemática en la sociedad en su conjunto, así como en la salud mental.
