The definition of well-being and discomfort in schools is identified and I continue with the Freudian definition of discomfort, of why discomfort affects the entire society; public and private schools and why the school should be considered a public good, the discontent of teachers and the discontent of students, causes of teacher discontent and consequences of discontent among teachers. The development of the text begins with the identification of the problem (social, but, in the case of the present study, also psychological), followed by the determination of the thesis and the arguments of the study, the development of each of them and finally the conclusions and recommendations.El presente ensayo académico busca aproximar al lector al problema del malestar presente en los docentes y analizamos las posibles causas y consecuencias de tal situación, haciendo énfasis en el rol de toda escuela, independientemente de su patrocinio, como un servicio público y de cómo el malestar que afecta a los maestros, parte fundamental del proceso de enseñanza, se trasvasa de la escuela a la sociedad en general. Se identifica la definición de bienestar y malestar en las escuelas y continúo con la definición freudiana de malestar, del por qué el malestar afecta a toda la sociedad; la escuela pública y privada y del por qué la escuela debe considerarse como un bien público, el malestar de los maestros y el malestar de los alumnos, causas del malestar docente y consecuencias del malestar entre los maestros.
