(guanabana) was carried out. The flowers samples were collected in the province of Jaen (Cajamarca, Peru). The ethanolic extract was obtained by maceration of the pulverized dried flowers. The quantification of the polyphenols in the ethanolic extract of the flowers was carried out using the Folin-Ciocalteu technique using gallic acid as a pattern. The evaluation of the antioxidant capacity was carried out using the methods of capturing the radical’s DPPH and ABTS. + using the Trolox as a pattern for both methods. The total polyphenols obtained in the ethanolic extract was 10,946 ± 0,008 mg GAE/g. The IC50 values were 104,28 µg / mL for the DPPH stem and 73,22 µg / mL for the ABTS. +. According to the results obtained from the ethanolic extract of the flowers of Annona muricata L., it has an important antioxidant activity, being greater in its neutralizing capacity on the radical ABTS. +.Las propiedades de Annona muricata L. (guanábana) se han demostrado en estudios realizados en sus hojas, pulpa, semillas, tallos y cáscara; destacándose en cada una de ellas sus propiedades antioxidantes. En el presente trabajo se realizó la cuantificación de los polifenoles totales y la evaluación de la capacidad antioxidante en el extracto etanólico de las flores de Annona muricata L. (guanábana). Las muestras de flores se recolectaron en la provincia de Jaén (Cajamarca, Perú). El extracto etanólico se obtuvo por maceración de las flores secas pulverizadas. La cuantificación de los polifenoles en el extracto etanólico de las flores se realizó mediante la técnica de Folin-Ciocalteu utilizando el ácido gálico como patrón. La evaluación de la capacidad antioxidante se realizó mediante los métodos de captación de los radicales DPPH y ABTS.+ utilizando el Trolox como patrón para ambos métodos. Los polifenoles totales obtenidos en el extracto etanólico fue de 10,946 ± 0,008 mg EAG/g. Los valores de IC50 fueron de 104,28 µg/mL para el radical DPPH y 73,22 µg/mL para el radical ABTS.+.
