José Jaime Heredia Neyra and of I.E. Horacio Zeballos Gámez. The aim was both to corroborate the achievement of the requirements raised in the profile of the graduate of the National Curriculum of the EBR and to identify, through the results, the weaknesses and strengths of students in the area of Social Sciences, since, in them, everything related to environmental issues is studied. First, a test was applied on the contents related to climate, global warming, causes and consequences of climate change; then the information was processed; finally, discussions, conclusions and recommendations were presented.La presente investigación tiene como objetivo principal indagar el nivel de conocimiento sobre el tema de cambio climático en los estudiantes que están culminando la educación básica regular (EBR) de la I.E. José Jaime Heredia Neyra y de la I.E. Horacio Zeballos Gámez. La finalidad fue tanto corroborar el logro de las exigencias planteadas en el perfil del egresado del Currículo Nacional de la EBR como identificar, a través de los resultados, las debilidades y las fortalezas de los estudiantes en el área de Ciencias Sociales, ya que, en ellas, se estudia todo lo relacionado con temas ambientales. Primero se aplicó una prueba sobre los contenidos relacionados con el clima, calentamiento global, causas y consecuencias del cambio climático; luego se pasó a procesar la información; finalmente, se presentó las discusiones, conclusiones y recomendaciones.Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo principal indagar o nível de conhecimento sobre o tema de mudança do clima em alunos que estão concluindo o ensino médio (EM) do C.E. José Jaime Heredia Neyra e o C.E. Horacio Zeballos Gámez. O propósito foi tanto corroborar a realização das exigências formuladas no perfil do formado da Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC) do Ensino Médio, quanto identificar, através dos resultados, as fortalezas e as fraquezas dos alunos da área das Ciências Sociais Aplicadas, já que, nessas, estudam-se tudo o relacionado a questões ambientais.
