Sumario:University students show deficiencies in syntax, spelling, punctuation, among other aspects, in their academic writing. For teachers, this situation motivates the application of various pedagogical strategies focused on improving written communication skills. Therefore, it is considered relevant to implement an efficient educational strategy that enables the improvement of writing communication skills. The objective of this article is to develop a literature review to identify the different types of effective pedagogical strategies related to enhancing written communication skills used in higher education. The method to be used is based on five phases, which allow for the identification, selection, and synthesis of pertinent information. The results obtained through the analysis and integration of the information show that text correction-based educational strategies predominate.
