The mechanical properties of the solid material obtained was studied , as well as of the films formed by the deposition of latex on a flat surface and dried at 30 ° C. The films were prepared by polymer core / shell obtained in microemulsion , had higher values of tensile modulus and tensile strength than the films prepared using polymer core / shell emulsion obtained .En el presente trabajo se reporta la síntesis de polímeros núcleo-coraza ( Políestireno/ Poliacrílato de butilo) utilízando un núcleo rígido como el poliestireno con coraza blanda como el poliacrilato de butilo (y viceversa) en las proporciones 40/60 y 60/40, obtenidos mediante polimerización en microemulsión y emulsión. Se estudiaron las propiedades mecánicas del material sólido obtenido, asi como de las películas formadas mediante la depositación del latex en una superficie plana y secados a 30ºC.
