The purpose of the article was to analyze the management carried out in industrial safety and occupational health in reducing occupational risks expressed in incidents and accidents in a productive area dedicated to metalworking operations. To this end, the procedures of a pre-experimental study were followed with 16 observations on the operating records in a company in the metalworking sector of the Puente Piedra district, Peru, collected in 2016. It was concluded with the finding of significant evidence of differences between means of the comparison groups regarding incidents and accidents in the pre and post test evaluation.El control de riesgos laborales es de necesidad común en todas las organizaciones ante la posibilidad de consecuencias negativas en la salud de profesionales y empleados, miembros de una organización orientada a realizar operaciones de fabricación metalmecánica, condición requerida principalmente en empresas que inician labores en el marco legal peruano. El propósito del artículo consistió en analizar la gestión realizada en seguridad industrial y salud ocupacional en reducir riesgos laborales expresados en incidentes y accidentes en un área productiva dedicada a operaciones metalmecánicas. Para tal fin, se siguieron los procedimientos de un estudio de nivel pre experimental con 16 observaciones sobre los registros operativos en una empresa del sector metalmecánica del distrito de Puente Piedra, Perú, recolectados en el 2016.
