We have chosen among these resources some preaching examples given in Peru during the XVII Century and show the important role performed by sermons legitimating the Habsburg Dynasty in our territoryLa génesis del Estado Moderno en Occidente iniciada a fines del siglo XIII y que ha logrado su consolidación en el siglo XVIII necesitó realizar ciertas modificaciones y emplear diversos recursos para legitimar el poder monárquico. Entre ellos destaca la dinámica intelectual, que comprende aspectos muy variados tales como: las imágenes, los discursos y los tratados políticos pero también los espectáculos, las ceremonias cívicas y religiosas.
