In section 2, functors and natural transformations are studied, showing their importance through examples that connect algebra and topology. In section 3 the important notions of limit of a functor and of adjunction of functors are given, and some examples are considered.El objetivo de este artículo es enfocar categóricamente algunos aspectos del Análisis Funcional, pretendiendo dar a conocer una metodología de alto nivel para la investigación y la enseñanza. En la sección 1 se dan las nociones de categoría y subcategoría; se enuncian el Convenio de Identificación y el Principio de Dualidad; se presentan algunas categorías del Análisis Funcional y se enuncian propiedades importantes de sus objetos y morfismos. En la sección 2 se estudian algunos funtores entre categorías del Análisis Funcional, mostrando su importancia a través de ejemplos que conectan el álgebra y la topología.
