This mythical conception give place to a system of exchange between ashaninka individuals that can transform along the generations in kinship relations between kindreds located in different valleys and interfluvial zones distant between them. The article also deals with the changes in this system because of the expansion of trading relations in the market and the changes in the institution of traditional exchange partners.El presente artículo muestra que la sal gema obtenida del famoso Cerro de la Sal y la sal obtenida de las afloraciones de manantiales salados subterráneos por los ashaninka constituye un equivalente general en tanto un don «divino» recibido de una divinidad por los humanos. Esta concepción mitológica funda un sistema de intercambios entre individuos ashaninka que puede convertirse en el devenir de las generaciones en relaciones de alianza matrimonial entre parentelas situadas en valles y zonas alejadas.
