Augusto Salazar Bondy: North-American capitalism as antithesis to the republican ideals of the Perú in the 19th centuryAugusto Salazar Bondy: el capitalismo norteamericano como antítesis de los ideales republicanos en el siglo XIXGonzáles Auccasi, Jorge RolandoGonzáles Auccasi, Jorge Rolandoideólogosindependenciaoligarquíadominaciónhumanismoideologuesindependenceoligarchydominationhumanism The objective of the investigation that we propose to carry out is to contrast what the Republic of Perú turned out to be, one hundred and thirty years after its independence, with the establishment of the capitalism in Perú in the 20th century, seen from the perspective of the peruvian philosopher Augusto Salazar Bondy in his book Between Scylla and Charybdis; according to his analysis, it was a system that only brought domination and economic dependence to our country, further accentuating the separation between peruvians and perpetuating the submission of our nation to the dictates and interest of the United States of America, an aspect for which we think was the antithesis to the republican ideals, since it was in direct contradiction to the postulates of the ideologues of the independence of Perú, José Faustino Sánchez Carrión and Manuel Lorenzo de Vidaurre, when they opted for the republic as a system of government in the 19th century. La investigación que nos proponemos realizar tiene como objetivo contrastar lo que resultó siendo la República del Perú, ciento treinta años después de su independencia, con el establecimiento del capitalismo en el Perú del siglo xx, visto desde la perspectiva del filósofo peruano Augusto Salazar Bondy2 en su libro Entre Escila y Caribdis. Según el análisis de Salazar Bondy, el capitalismo fue un sistema que solamente trajo dominación y dependencia económica a nuestro país, al acentuar más la separación entre los peruanos y perpetuar el sometimiento de nuestra nación a los dictados e intereses de Estados Unidos. Por este motivo, pensamos que este aspecto fue la antítesis a los ideales republicanos, ya que mantiene una directa contradicción a los postulados de los ideólogos de la independencia del Perú José Faustino Sánchez Carrión3 y Manuel Lorenzo de Vidaurre4, cuando optaron por la república como sistema de gobierno en el siglo xix.
