The data obtained were comparatively analyzed with the ECA and LMP standards, the drinking water samples from the Pocollay, Calana and Tacna districts were also statistically analyzed to estimate the water quality. According to the physicochemical parameters of the samples from the Uchusuma River, it was possible to determine that the value is below or within the range. In the case of the physicochemical samples from the districts of Tacna and Calana, the DO values exceed the LMP and the pH values of Calana are outside the established range.Se realizó un análisis fisicoquímico del agua proveniente del río Uchusuma y un análisis fisicoquímico y sensorial del agua potable de diferentes puntos de la ciudad de Tacna, en los distritos de Pocollay, Calana y Tacna. Se analizaron comparativamente con las normas ECA y LMP con los datos obtenidos, se analizaron también estadísticamente las muestras de agua potable de los distritos Pocollay, Calana y Tacna para estimar la calidad del agua. De acuerdo a los parámetros fisicoquímicos de las muestras del río Uchusuma se pudo determinar que el valor se encuentra por debajo o dentro del rango. En el caso de las muestras fisicoquímicas de los distritos de Tacna y Calana los valores de OD sobrepasan los LMP y los valores de pH de Calana se encuentran fuera del rango establecido.
