This contribution is valuable for the scientific community and, above all, for the creators of educational policies, since with a greater understanding of student’s issue, the educational policies can be focused and channeled more effectively.La educación es un factor relevante en el desarrollo social y económico de un país.En el año 2000, el Banco Mundial resaltaba que en la historia, la pobreza o la riqueza de las naciones dependen de la calidad de la educación superior. En ese sentido, la presente investigación tiene como principal objetivo aportar al entendimiento de la dinámica del rendimiento académico de los estudiantes de la Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería.
