Thesample is composed by 221 women of mid-high and low socioeconomic status in the city of Lima, Peru.The results show evidence that these changes do not significantly affect the behavior of the women in this study;however, the symptoms have different effects on each phase of the climacteric period. These women show high levelsof self-esteem and moderate level of quality of life and happiness. The results also show significant correlationamong the three variables in this study.El objetivo de la presente investigación es identificar la relación entre las variables: calidad de vida, autoestima yfelicidad durante el climaterio. Se tuvo en cuenta la edad, estado civil, nivel de estudios y situación laboral. Lamuestra está conformada por 221 mujeres de estratos socio-económicos medio-alto y bajo, en la ciudad Lima.Los resultados obtenidos reflejan que los cambios producidos durante el climaterio no modifican considerablementeel comportamiento de las mujeres evaluadas, si bien los síntomas intervienen en forma diferente y progresiva encada una de las etapas del climaterio. Presentan un alto nivel de autoestima y un nivel medio en calidad de vida yfelicidad.
