The aim of this paper is to analyze the conditions of possibility of the veil of ignorance and so assess if it can be recognized as a proper strategy to propose the principles of justice. For this, some concepts are considered Sartrean existentialism.John Rawls propone, en su libro La Teoría de la Justicia, los principios de la justicia para promover un sistema social más justo. Para ello plantea la posición original como escenario hipotético en el que un grupo de personas, bajo el velo de la ignorancia, hallarían los principios de la justicia más adecuados para la sociedad. Lo que se pretende en este trabajo es analizar las condiciones de posibilidad del velo de la ignorancia y así evaluar si es que puede ser reconocido como estrategia adecuada para proponer los principios de la justicia.
