The teacher who has built self-esteem and self-concept to own them under certain situations, will make them part of his being and professional work, projecting in his/her educational work and from his/her personality, essential aspects of a quality education. Recognizing the importance of looking at oneself will help to accompany the development of his/her students as persons of good for society.Se reflexiona sobre dos aspectos a considerar en el sistema educativo: la autoestima y el autoconcepto de los docentes. Las personas con autoestima positiva y autoconcepto adecuado son capaces de llevar a cabo grandes empresas, no solo en el plano profesional, sino también en el familiar y social. El docente que los ha construido como suyo bajo determinadas situaciones, hará que la autoestima y el autoconcepto formen parte de su ser y quehacer profesional, proyectandoen su labor educativa, y desde su personalidad, aspectos esenciales de una educación de calidad.
