Samples were obtained from healthy women, and the Lactobacillus spp. strains were identified through phenotypic and biochemical tests. Sensitivity disks impregnated with the supernatant of the Lactobacillus spp. strains were prepared, and their antagonistic effect against Candida spp. species was evaluated by performing three repetitions per species using the disk diffusion method on Mueller-Hinton agar. It was observed that the L3 strain of Lactobacillus spp. had an inhibition zone of up to 10 mm against C. albicans and C. glabrata. The Lactobacillus spp. strains isolated from vaginal secretions show potential to inhibit the growth of C. albicans and C. glabrata.La candidiasis vaginal es una infección común y recurrente en mujeres, y el uso de probióticos, tales como Lactobacillus spp., se ha propuesto como una alternativa terapéutica debido a la capacidad para inhibir el crecimiento de patógenos. El objetivo del estudio fue evaluar la actividad inhibitoria del sobrenadante de cepas de Lactobacillus spp. aislados de secreciones vaginales contra C. albicans, C. glabrata y C. krusei.  Las muestras fueron obtenidas de mujeres saludables y se identificaron las cepas de Lactobacillus spp. mediante pruebas fenotípicas y bioquímicas. Se prepararon discos de sensibilidad impregnados con el sobrenadante de las cepas de Lactobacillus spp. y se evaluó su efecto antagónico contra las especies de Candida spp., haciendo 3 repeticiones por especie, mediante el método de difusión en disco en agar Mueller-Hinton. Se observó que la cepa L3 de Lactobacillus spp. tuvo un halo de inhibición de hasta 10 mm contra C. albicans y C. glabrata.
