The chi square test was applied in the statistical analysis of the two variables. The results obtained were that 55.1 % of the nurses considered that interpersonal relationships among colleagues were bad. The 57.7% of patients considered as regular the attention received by the nurse and 17.5% considers it good. It was found a Chi-square 12.11 with a p<0.05, with the conclusion that there is a degree of dependency between the level of interpersonal relationships among nurses and the quality of care provided to patients.El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar las relaciones interpersonales de las enfermeras/os y la calidad de atención que brindan al paciente del Servicio de Emergencia de adultos del Hospital Nacional Edgardo Rebagliati Martins durante el mes de abril del 2012.el estudio fue prospectivo, trasversal, correlacional que evaluó a 78 enfermeras mediante una encuesta para determinar el nivel de sus relaciones interpersonales y 234 pacientes mediante una encuesta que determine la calidad de atención de enfermería percibida. Se aplicó la prueba de chi cuadrado en el análisis estadístico de las dos variables. Se obtuvo como resultados que el 55.1% de las enfermeras consideró que las relaciones interpersonales entre colegas eran malas. El 57.7% de los pacientes consideró como regular la atención recibida por la enfermera y el 17.5% la considero buena.
