Methods: the methods used were descriptive, as well as historical-analytical; Likewise, primary and secondary sources were consulted, such as Grupo Minsa's annual reports sent to the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV), scientific articles, books and the company's website. Results: among the strategies used by the company, the following stand out: investments, mergers, acquisitions, divestments and differentiation strategies. Conclusions: Grupo Minsa transitioned from a state company to a private one in the nineties and thanks to the State subsidy it maintained levels of accumulation that allowed it to strengthen its production plant and guarantee its permanence in the market.En México, en la industria alimentaria existen miles de unidades económicas que garantizan la demanda interna, no obstante, el mercado es controlado por las grandes empresas. La producción de harina de maíz no escapa de esta realidad, puesto que se identifican dos grandes participantes: Gruma y Minsa. Objetivo: analizar las estrategias empresariales utilizadas por Grupo Minsa para consolidarse uno de los más importantes grupos económicos en el sector de alimentos en México. Métodos: los métodos empleados fueron el descriptivo, así como el histórico-analítico; asimismo, se consultaron fuentes primarias y secundarias como reportes anuales de Grupo Minsa enviados a la Bolsa Mexicana de Valores (BMV), artículos científicos, libros y la página web de la empresa. Resultados: entre las estrategias empleadas por la empresa, se destacan las: inversiones, fusiones, adquisiciones, desinversiones y estrategias de diferenciación.
