Materials and methods: The study was of a basic type, of non-experimental design and a cross-sectional section; besides, it also had correlational scope and was developed under a quantitative approach. The population consisted of a total of 58 collaborators and as data collection instruments is worked with two questionnaires, one for each variable; both instruments were validated by expert judgment. Results: Deficiencies were evidences regarding the transformational leadership variable. Likewise, there is no good integration of the staff, since the institution does not take into account professional development, since it does not provide much trainings. All of this is reflected in the performance of the collaborators, who are at a medium level of satisfaction. Conclusions: There is a direct and significant relationship between transformational leadership and job performance (r = 0.712).Objetivo: Identificar la relación entre el liderazgo transformacional y el desempeño laboral en los colaboradores de un instituto de educación superior privado de la ciudad de Arequipa, Perú, 2024. Materiales y métodos: El estudio fue de tipo básico, de diseño no experimental y corte transversal; además, tuvo alcance correlacional y se desarrolló bajo un enfoque cuantitativo. La población estuvo constituida por un total de 58 colaboradores y como instrumentos de recolección de datos se trabajó con dos cuestionarios, uno para cada variable; ambos instrumentos fueron validados por el juicio de expertos. Resultados: Se evidenciaron falencias respecto a la variable liderazgo transformacional. Así mismo, no hay buena integración del personal, dado que en la institución no se toma en cuenta el desarrollo profesional, ya que no se brindan muchas capacitaciones. Todo ello se ve reflejado en el desempeño de los colaboradores, que se encuentran en un nivel medio de satisfacción.
