To achieve this, the concepts of private property, non-interventionism, and state neutrality in liberalism, and community, social purpose, and the public sphere in republicanism, derived from the aforementioned terms, will be analyzed. The objective of this research is to evaluate the practical feasibility of both ideological currents and consider the possibility of a synthesis between them. Hence, the guiding question will be: which of the two is more feasible in practical life, or if there can be a synthesis between them? In response to this question, it is argued that liberalism is the most feasible and viable stance, as republicanism is contradictory in its principles and modes of operation. This analysis seeks to deepen the understanding of the foundations and practical implications of liberalism and republicanism, in order to contribute to the debate on social organization in relation to the principles of individual freedom and the common good.El presente estudio propone explorar el tema de los fundamentos esenciales tanto del liberalismo como el republicanismo, partiendo desde la libertad individual y el bien común respectivamente, centrándose en el concepto fundamental de libertad. Para ello se analizarán los conceptos de propiedad privada, no intervencionismo y neutralidad del estado en el liberalismo y de la comunidad, fin social y lo público por parte del republicanismo que devienen de los términos anteriormente mencionados. El objetivo de esta investigación es evaluar la viabilidad práctica de ambas corrientes ideológicas y considerar la posibilidad de una síntesis entre ellas. Por ello la pregunta guía será: ¿cuál de las dos es más factible en la vida práctica o si puede haber una síntesis entre ambas? Ante esta pregunta, se sostiene que el liberalismo es la postura más factible y viable, ya que el republicanismo es contradictorio en sus principios y las bases de proceder.
