Sumario: | Objective. To determine the relationship between mental workload and emotional exhaustion in collaborators of financial institutions in the Junín region. Methods. The approach was quantitative, basic type, correlational level and non-experimental design. The sampling was non-probabilistic and intentional and the sample consisted of 170 collaborators from 7 financial institutions in the Junín region. The instrument used was the mental workload questionnaire by Gladys González et al. (2009), whose dimensions were: cognitive demands and task complexity, health consequences, task characteristics, time organization and work rhythm. Kendall's Tau-b coefficient was applied to measure the correlation. Results. The mental workload significantly affected the emotional exhaustion variable in collaborators of financial institutions. Conclusion. The relationship between mental workload and emotional exhaustion in collaborators of financial institutions is high. This can manifest itself in the medium term in the generation of occupational diseases such as stress and burnout. |
