With the objective of describing a case of a young patient with suspected COVID-19, who is diagnosed with streptococcal gingivostomatitis, this article is carried out. Reference is made to the symptoms and signs shared by both entities and to the reports of research studies that attribute new clinical manifestations in the oral cavity to the SARS-CoV-2 virus.El considerar otros patógenos en síndromes febriles durante la pandemia de la COVID-19, es una necesidad en la atención primaria de salud y revierte mayor relevancia en el examen de la cavidad bucal. Con el objetivo de describir un caso de una paciente joven con sospecha de COVID-19, a la cual se le diagnostica una gingivoestomatitis estreptocócica se realiza este artículo. Se hace referencia a los síntomas y signos que comparten ambas entidades y a los reportes de estudios de investigación   que atribuyen al virus SARS-CoV-2 nuevas manifestaciones clínicas en la cavidad bucal.Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal.
