The objective of this work was to analyze host fish of the family Loricariidae including two species of zoonoticnematodes. The study was carried out in the municipality of Cruzeiro do Sul, Acre, Brazil. A total of 42 Sprentascaris mahnerti Petter & Cassone, 1984 was collected from three hosts of the family Loricariidae, 27 from Limatulichthys griseus Eigenmann, 1909, 10 from Spatuloricaria sp. Schultz, 1944 and 5 in Hypoptopoma steindachneri Boulenger, 1895. For Raphidascaris sp. Railliet & Henry, 1915 a total of 12 larvae were found in five species of Loricariidae, where the highest value was found in Spataculoricaria sp. Schultz, 1944. The present study showed that Raphidascaris sp. parasitized a greater number of hosts than S. mahnerti, in which Spatuloricaria sp. was the host with the highest number of infected specimens. S. mahnerti showed the highest abundance of individuals, where the host with the highest number of infected specimens was L. griseus. |

Los génerosde esta familia se pueden subdividir en Raphidascaris Railliet & Henry, 1915, Ichthyascaris Wu, 1949 y Sprentascaris Petter & Cassone, 1984, y todos pueden actuar como parásitos de peces. El objetivo de este trabajo fue analizar en peces hospederos de la familia Loricariidae a dos especies de nematodos zoonóticos. El estudio fue realizado en el municipiode Cruzeiro do Sul, Acre, Brasil. Se recolectaron un total de 42 Sprentascaris mahnerti Petter & Cassone, 1984 de tres hospederos de la familia Loricariidae, 27 de Limatulichthys griseus Eigenmann, 1909, 10 de Spatuloricaria sp. Schultz, 1944 y 5 en Hypoptopoma steindachneri Boulenger, 1895. Para Raphidascaris sp. Railliet & Henry, 1915 se encontraron un total de 12 larvas en cinco especies de Loricariidae, donde el mayor valor se encontró en Spataculoricaria sp. Schultz, 1944. El presente estudio mostró que Raphidascaris sp. parasitaron un mayor número de hospederos que S. mahnerti, en el que Spatuloricaria sp. fue el hospedero con mayor número de ejemplares infectados. S. mahnerti mostró la mayorabundancia de individuos, donde el hospedero con mayor número de ejemplares infectados fue L. griseus.A família Raphidascarididae é composta de nematoides que realizam seu ciclo de vida em ambientes usando diferentes hospedeiros intermediários ou paratênicos, como invertebrados, peixes, aves aquáticas e mamíferos. Os gêneros dessa família podem subdividir em Raphidascaris Railliet & Henry, 1915, Ichthyascaris Wu, 1949 e Sprentascaris Petter & Cassone, 1984 e todos podem atuar como parasitos de peixes. O objetivo do trabalho foi analisar peixes hospedeiros da família Loricariidae de duas espécies de nematodas zoonóticos. O estudo foi realizado no município de Cruzeiro do Sul, Acre, Brasil. Foram coletados no total 42 Sprentascaris mahnerti Petter & Cassone, 1984 em três hospedeiros da família Loricariidae, sendo 27 em Limatulichthys griséus Eigenmann, 1909, 10 em Spatuloricaria sp. Schultz, 1944 e 5 em Hypoptopoma steindachneri Boulenger, 1895. Para Raphidascaris sp. Railliet & Henry, 1915 foram encontradas no total 12 larvas em cinco espécies de Loricariidae, onde o maior valor foi encontrado em Spataculoricaria sp. O presente estudo evidenciou que Raphidascaris sp. Railliet & Henry, 1915 parasitou maior número de hospedeiros em relação a S. mahnerti Petter & Cassone, 1984, no qual, Spatuloricaria sp. Schultz, 1944 foi o hospedeiro com maior número de espécimes infectadas.
