The Messengers report, published by Birdlife International in November 2015, warns of the consequences of climate change on birds and other organisms on the planet. It also provides measures and solutions "for man and nature" whose purpose is to protect ecosystems and preserve global health. But these guidelines would be in vain without a credible commitment to compliance by governments to improve conditions for future generations.A través de los años y en todas las culturas los hombres han mirado a las aves para descifrar los mensajes que éstas nos mandaban sobre la salud del mundo en el que vivimos. Hoy en día, el estudio científico de las aves nos aporta una información fidedigna de las consecuencias del cambio global que sufre el planeta. El informe The messengers, publicado por Birdlife International en noviembre de 2015, nos advierte de las consecuencias del cambio climático en las aves y sobre el resto de organismos del planeta. Además, aporta medidas y soluciones “para el hombre y la naturaleza” cuya finalidad es proteger los ecosistemas y preservar la salud global. Pero estas directrices serían vanas sin un compromiso fiable de cumplimiento por parte de losgobiernos con objeto de mejorar las condiciones para las generaciones venideras.Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal.
