Homes built with inadequate materials and the inability to use heating mechanisms have a direct impact on the health of its inhabitants. Therefore, these homes are required to be energy efficient with inexpensive systems. The main objective of this research is to evaluate the efficiency of the use of cork boards as cladding in the interior of prefabricated houses. The case study is AA. HH Ticlio Chico, where low temperatures, relative humidity close to 100% and thermal sensation of approximately 10 °C are reached. The experimental test of three prototypes of houses on a reduced scale with different thicknesses of cork boards subjected to temperature variations was carried out. Then, a thermal dynamic analysis of the numerical model of the prototype was performed. Finally, the results of temperature records obtained experimentally and numerically were analyzed, thus determining the efficiency of the use of cork boards. This research contributes to achieving thermal comfort in prefabricated homes in the most unprotected areas of the country. Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal2022-05-16info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdftext/htmlapplication/epub+ziptext/xmlhttps://revistas.unfv.edu.pe/RCV/article/view/1183Cátedra Villarreal; Vol. 9 No. 2 (2021): Cátedra VillarrealCátedra Villarreal; Vol. 9 Núm. 2 (2021): Cátedra Villarreal2311-22122310-4767reponame:Revistas - Universidad Nacional Federico Villarrealinstname:Universidad Nacional Federico Villarrealinstacron:UNFVspahttps://revistas.unfv.edu.pe/RCV/article/view/1183/1918https://revistas.unfv.edu.pe/RCV/article/view/1183/1468https://revistas.unfv.edu.pe/RCV/article/view/1183/1509https://revistas.unfv.edu.pe/RCV/article/view/1183/1955Derechos de autor 2022 Alexandra Yunek Lopez Villanueva, Maddeley Elizabeth Yucra Ayala , Noemi Gloria Cisneros Echavarría , Gabriella Acuña del Carpiohttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessoai:ojs2.revistas.unfv.edu.pe:article/11832022-05-18T16:01:12Z
