Adult parasites recovered in the small intestine of the pigeons at 14 days after infection were identified as Echinostoma exile Lutz, 1924. The morphology of cercaria of E. exile is described for the first time and P. marmorata is reported as the natural first intermediate host of the parasite.Cercárias do tipo equinostoma apresentando colar cefálico com 45 espinhos foram encontradas em Physa marmorata Guilding, 1828 coletadas em coleção aquática localizada em Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brasil. Metacercárias obtidas experimentalmente em Biomphalaria glabrata (Say, 1818) foram utilizadas para a infecção de Columba livia Gmelin, 1789. Parasitos adultos recuperados do intestino delgado das aves aos 14 dias após a infecção foram identificados como Echinostoma exile Lutz, 1924.
