The researches that has been carried out on risk factors is analyzed, the results of this review allow us to conclude that violence against women is historical and has remained, and remains, in a large percentage hidden, because most do not denounce for fear of further violence. . The risk factors for violence against women to occur is multifactorial due to the characteristics of family dynamics in each country. The results of the studies show that the risk factors for violence against women are found at the macro-structural level; exosystem, and microsystem. In addition, there are various theories and models that explain the factors that are associated with violence against women. DOI: https://doi.org/10.31876/sl.v3i1.67El objetivo del presente trabajo fue realizar una revisión bibliográfica sobre los factores de riesgo de la violencia a la mujer por parte de su cónyuge, considerando que factores de riesgo son característicos o circunstancia que tienen la probabilidad de desarrollar algún efecto y/o consecuencias adversas. Se analizan las investigaciones que se han realizado sobre los factores de riesgo, los resultados de esta revisión permiten concluir que la violencia a la mujer es histórica ha permanecido y aún permanece en gran porcentaje oculta, porque la mayoría no denuncia por temor a sufrir más violencia. Los factores de riesgo para que ocurra la violencia contra la mujer es multifactorial por las características de la dinámica familiar de cada país. Los resultados de los estudios evidencian que los factores de riesgo de la violencia a la mujer se encuentran en el nivel macro estructural; exosistema, y microsistema. Además, se tiene diversas teorías y modelos que explican los factores que están asociados a la violencia contra la mujer.
