The work was carried out in the fields of the training demonstration center of the “La huaycha” irrigation project in the Orcotuna district of the Concepción province, Junín department - Peru, in two agricultural campaigns. The main objective was to determine the coefficients of consumptive use (Kc) for the cultivation of potatoes in conditions of the Mantaro valley for a better management of irrigation water. |

The main objective was to determine the coefficients of consumptive use (Kc) for the cultivation of potatoes in conditions of the Mantaro valley for a better management of irrigation water.El cultivo de la papa es un alimento de primer orden en la alimentación humana que para su cultivo intervienen una serie de factores como el suelo y el agua, especialmente este ultimo de vital importancia, por lo que inclusive existe una frase mundialmente mencionada “sin agua no hay vida”, por lo que es necesario dosificar la cantidad de agua que el cultivo necesita para su desarrollo y rendimiento normal, en merito a ello se planteó realizar el presente trabajo de investigación con el fin de determinar la demanda total de agua por este cultivo. El trabajo fue realizado en los campos del Centro demostrativo de capacitación del proyecto de irrigación “La huaycha” en el distrito de Orcotuna de la provincia de Concepción, departamento de Junín - Perú, en dos campañas agrícolas. El objetivo principal fue determinar los coeficientes de uso consuntivo (Kc) para el cultivo de la papa en condiciones del valle del Mantaro para un mejor manejo del agua de riego A cultura da batata é um alimento de primeira ordem na alimentação humana que para seu cultivo intervém uma série de fatores como o solo e a água, especialmente este último de vital importância, para o que existe mesmo uma frase mencionada mundialmente "sem água não há vida", para o que é necessário dosear a quantidade de água que a cultura necessita para seu desenvolvimento e rendimento normal, em mérito a ela foi levantada para realizar o presente trabalho de investigação com o objetivo de determinar a demanda total de água para esta cultura. O trabalho foi realizado nos campos do centro de treinamento de demonstração do projeto de irrigação "La Huaycha" no distrito de Orcotuna, na província de Concepción, departamento de Junín, Peru, em duas estações agrícolas.
