To assess stress, the instrument called The Nursing Stress Scale (NSS) was used. Results: in relation to stress in nursing professionals, the low level prevailed with 57% (n = 65), followed by the medium level 41.2% (n = 47) and the high level with 1.8% (n = 2). Regarding the dimensions, in the physical environment the medium level predominated with 48.2% (n = 55), in the psychological environment the low level predominated with 57% (n = 65) and in the social environment in the hospital the low level with 92.1% (n = 105). The dimension with the highest stress score was the physical environment with 6.1% (n = 7). Conclusions: The majority of nursing professionals had a low level of stress. Regarding the dimensions, in the psychological and social environment they had a low level, while in the physical environment they had a medium level.Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de estrés percibido por los enfermeros del área de emergencia y hospitalización en hospitales de Lima Norte durante la pandemia COVID-19. Materiales y métodos: Se realizó un estudio cuantitativo, descriptivo y transversal. La población estuvo conformada por 114 enfermeros del servicio de hospitalización y emergencia. Para evaluar el estrés se utilizó el instrumento denominado The Nursing Stress Scale (NSS). Resultados: En relación al estrés en profesionales enfermeros, predominó el nivel bajo con 57% (n=65), seguido del nivel medio 41,2% (n=47) y nivel alto con 1,8% (n=2). Referente a las dimensiones, en el ambiente físico predominó el nivel medio con 48,2% (n=55), en el ambiente psicológico predominó el nivel bajo con 57% (n=65) y en el ambiente social en el hospital predominó el nivel bajo con 92,1% (n=105). La dimensión con un mayor puntaje de estrés fue el ambiente físico con 6,1% (n=7). Conclusiones: La mayoría de profesionales enfermería tuvo un nivel bajo de estrés.
