He will build his analysis on the basis of the narratives of humanity and its atrocity, then analyze the concept of universality as a generally accepted attribute in international law and examine the discussion that exists with respect to natural law and positivism. Finally, it will provide a constructive critique of the concept, establishing the logic, strengths and inconsistencies behind the humanity and atrocity narratives of universality in international criminal law.A lo largo del presente artículo, el autor buscará probar que el concepto de universalidad —que sirve de base para la criminalización universal de hechos particulares— no es más que una ficción que no responde a las razones más nobles. Construirá su análisis sobre la base de las narrativas de humanidad y su atrocidad, para luego analizar el concepto de universalidad, como un atributo generalmente aceptado en el Derecho Internacional, y examinar la discusión que existe con respecto al Derecho natural y el positivismo. Para terminar, realizará una crítica constructiva sobre el concepto, estableciendo la lógica, fortalezas e inconsistencias detrás de las narrativas de humanidad y atrocidad de la universalidad en el Derecho Penal Internacional.Universidad de Lima.
